R.B.A.N.M’S First Grade College was established by RBANM’S Educational Charities in the year 1983 to cater to the educational needs of the fast growing modern and tech city of Bangalore. This is one of the institutions established under the umbrella of the R.B.A.N.M’S Educational Charities founded 140 years ago in 1873 by Dharmarathnakara Rai Bahadur Arcot Narrainswamy Mudaliar. The medium of instruction offered is English and college is Co Educational. College reopens in June 2017

RBANM'S Educational Charities was founded by Dharmarathnakara Rai Bahadur Arcot Narrainsawmy Mudaliar in 1873.Sri Narrainsawmy Mudaliar was born at Arcot on 14th May,1827 at a time when the family fortune was at a low ebb. His childhood and youth formed a period of test and trial. The death of his father, while he was yet in his teens and his marriage at the age of 22 threw on his youthful shoulders the responsibility of maintaining a large family including his mother and two younger brothers.

He founded the Baldwin Institute in New York in 1845 and the Baldwin High School in 1982.
