The college was established in July 1964 with only undergraduate course in Arts faculty. Starting with 135 students and only one faculty, the college has now acquired a multi-faculty P.G status. Taking into account the importance of women education Shri Ram Richchapal established the college in the memory of his mother Smt. Gauri Devi.
