Govt. College, solan was established on 19th August, 1959 by the Himachal Pradesh Goverment to cater to the needs of higher education of Solan district. Solan town is an important hil station of the State, connected by rail and road. This town is situated almost midway between Kalka and Shimla on Hindustan-Tibet National Highway No. 22- In the recent past this town has been conferred with the status of 'Mushroom City of India.'

The K.M.E. Society's G.M.Momin Women's College, situated on Thane Road, Bhiwandi, Maharashtra requested the National Assessment and Accreditation Council ( NAAC) to assess its organization for its quality. The NAAC in turn appointed the following as Peer Team members to visit the College.

In 1854 the Bhosale Rule came to an end and the British regime started.The government did not have a separate education department till 1862. The Missionary school existed but people were reluctant to send their children to these English school on the ground of religion.

Kisan Veer Mahavidyalaya Wai is established in the township of Wai at the foot of Panchgani, a famous hill station in Western ghats of Maharashtra. This education center has a well laid out campus sprawling over 13 acres of land. There are spacious parking lots at the entrance followed by the imposing building of the Mahavidyalaya.

Jaysingpur College, Jaysingpur was established on 20th June 1964. The college is run by Anekant Education Society, Baramati, Dist – Pune, was established in 1961, under the able guidance of late Shri Phulchandji Gandhi, Education Minister of the former Hyderabad state. The college was established with keeping in view of the fact that, there was no Arts, Science and Commerce college for Higher Education in Shirol Taluka.

Rashtra Kavi Dr. Maithilisharan gupt Shikshan Sansthan has established R.M.S.G. Mahavidyalaya in the year 2007. The college is renowned and co-educational institution of Chirgaon (U.P.), where professional education is imparted focusing on building of sound personality and character.
