Hill College, Tadubi, unlike other colleges, saw the light of the day under direct sponsorship of the Government of Manipur in the year 1978. This college is located 100kms far away from the capital city, Imphal and 2Kms away from the National Highway No. 39 popularly known as Imphal - Dimapur Road, at an isolated and interior hill top. This College is situated in between the latitude degree of 24.8 and longitude degree of 93.95 with an area of 17.25 acres.

Realizing the importance of agriculture in the Islands for better livelihoods, Indian Council of Agricultural Research has established the Central Agricultural Research Institute CARI at Port Blair on 23rd June 1978 by merging the regional stations of the Indian Agricultural Research Institute IARI, Indian Veterinary Research Institute IVRI, Central Plantation Crops Research Institute CPCR and Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute CMFRI.

Established in 1981 Govt. Degree College Rajouri is located at a small beautiful plateau at village Kheora, 3 1/2 kilometers to the North-East of Rajouri town. The college campus presents a picturesque view in the backdrop of snow capped Pir Punjjal Mountains in the North, Dhani Dhar Fort a monument in the East. In the West lies the brimming riverine of Darhali Tawi. Historic Rajouri Town lies in the south. Tall poplar trees, bordering the entire campus lend grandeur and glory to it.

Govt. Degree College, Pampore was established in 2011 and is affiliated to University of Kashmir. Presently the college offers B. Sc, B. A., and B. Com following CBCS curriculum. In these past ten years the college has grown rapidly. Shaheed Captain Vikram Batra Govt. College, Palampur(Kangra) came into existence as Govt. College Palampur vide Govt. of Himachal Pradesh, Education Department Notification No. Chha(15), 3/86-Shiksha ka-II Dated 07-04-1995. Later it was renamed in the memory of Capt.
