The Bir Bikram Memorial College has started its journey on 19th August, 1969 as Bir Bikram Evening College, affiliated to Calcutta University, with more than 300 male students, in the premises of Maharaja Bir Bikram College,Agartala . The college basically catered to the needs of those students who were not in a position to prosecute their studies in the existing day colleges of the state due to myriad reasons.
