MH CET Law Cutoff: Factors, Benchmarks and Category Trends
MH CET Law does not have one fixed score that secures admission at every college. The relevant benchmark is the course-, category-, institute- and CAP-round-specific closing merit/score shown in official allotment data. Check official notices for the current year's thresholds rather than relying on an unofficial prediction.
What determines a cutoff?
- Three-year versus five-year course and the number/type of seats at each institute.
- Candidate score/percentile, merit rank, tie-break rules and the number of applicants.
- Maharashtra State candidature type, All India/OMS status and applicable reservation category.
- College preference and option-form order, seat availability, withdrawals and subsequent CAP rounds.
- Institute-specific admission rules and the current year's CAP schedule.
Qualifying benchmarks versus admission cutoffs
Do not confuse the minimum academic marks to be eligible to apply with an entrance test cutoff or the closing score for a college. The 2026 brochure's academic eligibility marks differ by course and category. Admission is determined through merit and CAP seat allocation; the brochure does not establish one universal CET score for all candidates and colleges.
Category-wise trend reading
Open/All India seats and reserved Maharashtra State categories are handled under the candidature and reservation rules in the current brochure. Closing ranks/percentiles can move between categories and CAP rounds; vacancies and college preferences may change the last admitted candidate. Compare like with like: same course, institute, category, seat type and round. Use official CAP allotment/merit data from the CET Cell admission portal; historical data is context, not a promised future cutoff.
