About Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University Common Entrance Test (IPU CET)
IPU CET refers to the Common Entrance Tests conducted by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) for admission to selected programmes. It is not one single course-specific paper: the University assigns CET codes and syllabus requirements to individual programmes, while other programmes admit through national-level examinations or separate processes. As of 11 October 2026, the University had published its 2026-27 admission information and CET 2026 result notices; the 2027 test schedule had not been announced in the official material reviewed.

Programmes and admission route
Consult the current GGSIPU UG or PG admission brochure to see whether your chosen programme uses a University CET, a national-level test, CUET or another notified route. For example, the 2026 brochure specifies NATA rather than a University CET for B.Arch and lists CLAT-based routes for law programmes. Engineering, medical, management and other admissions may likewise use their specified national test or a separate process. Do not assume that every programme offered by the University requires IPU CET or that one CET code applies to all courses.
Eligibility
There is no single academic eligibility rule for all IPU CET applicants. The required qualifying examination, subjects, minimum marks, age condition, category and documents depend on the programme and CET code. Read the eligibility and admission criteria chapter of the current official brochure before registering. The 2026 brochure allowed result-awaited candidates to apply provisionally for certain programmes subject to its conditions and later proof of eligibility; an entrance-test application or qualifying score alone does not guarantee admission.
Application fee and registration
The GGSIPU 2026 UG admission brochure states an application fee of Rs. 2,500, non-refundable, payable during online registration; applicable taxes and service charges are additional. The 2027 fee and payment conditions have not been announced in the sources reviewed. Register through the official IPU admissions portal and check the selected programme/CET code, eligibility and live payment page before submitting the form.
Exam pattern and marking
The general instructions in the 2026 UG brochure describe an offline OMR-based CET with 100 multiple-choice questions over 2.5 hours. Each question carries four marks; an incorrect response deducts one mark and an unanswered question attracts no deduction. The 2026 brochure says the general CET language is English unless otherwise specified. These are the published general instructions, not a substitute for the paper-specific scheme: check the syllabus and instructions for the selected programme, CET code and cycle.

| Incorrect answer | -1 mark; multiple marked options are treated as incorrect |
| Unanswered | No mark deduction |
| Language | English unless otherwise specified |
Result, merit and counselling
GGSIPU publishes CET merit/result information and admission or counselling instructions through its official websites and portal; candidates should check notices themselves rather than wait for an individual result intimation. A 2026 CET result notice was posted on 15 September 2026. Under the 2026 UG brochure, the merit of GGSIPU CET 2026, CUET or other applicable entrance tests was valid only for the 2026-27 academic session. Programme, rank, category, region, seat availability, preference filling, verification and the current counselling rules all affect admission.
Legacy IndCareer coverage for IPU CET UG/PG had tentative 2026 date estimates; this entry uses the University’s 2026-27 brochure and CET notice board for the verified fee, general rules and published milestones. A separate 2022 GGSIPU CET BHMCT page is retained as an archive reference only; its course-specific syllabus and pattern should not be applied to all current IPU CET papers.
