Normalisation and Percentile Calculation

Because the 3-year LLB exam is held in multiple sessions, the CET Cell uses the Equated Score Computation Method.

Percentile Score: This is not your percentage of marks. It reflects how many candidates scored equal to or less than you. For example, a 99 percentile means you performed better than 99% of the test-takers in your session.

MH CET Law 2026 Tie-Breaker Policy

If two or more candidates secure the same marks/percentile, the following hierarchy is used to determine the higher rank:

  1. Higher Percentage in Class 12 (or equivalent).
  2. Higher Percentage of Marks in First Language at Class 12.
  3. Higher Percentage in Class 10.
  4. Higher Percentage of Marks in English at Class 10.

What Happens After the Result?

The declaration of the result is just the beginning of the Centralised Admission Process (CAP).

  • Merit List: The CET Cell will release an “Alphabetical Merit List” followed by a “Final Merit List.”
  • CAP Registration: You must register separately for counselling and upload your documents (Result, Admit Card, Domicile, etc.).
  • Option Form: You will list your preferred colleges in order of priority (e.g., GLC Mumbai first, ILS Pune second).
