2. Choice Filling: List your preferred colleges and branches in decreasing order of preference. You can fill as many choices as you are eligible for.
3. Mock Allotment: JoSAA releases two “Mock” results to show you what you might get based on current trends. You can still change your preferences after this.
4. Seat Allotment: Official results are released round-wise. If a seat is allotted, you must choose one of three options:
   • Freeze: You accept the seat and exit further rounds.
   • Float: You accept the seat but want to wait for a better college/branch in the next rounds.
   • Slide: You accept the seat but want a better branch within the same institute.
5. Online Reporting: Upload documents and pay the Seat Acceptance Fee (approx. ₹35,000 for Gen/OBC and ₹17,500 for SC/ST/PwD).

• For IITs: Must have a valid rank in JEE Advanced 2026.
• For NITs, IIITs, GFTIs: Must have a valid rank in JEE Main 2026 (Paper 1 or Paper 2).
