🔍 Types of Answer Keys

1. Model Answer Key (Provisional): This is the first key released by WBJEEB. It allows you to estimate your score and compare your OMR responses with the board’s official answers.
2. Final Answer Key: After reviewing challenges submitted by candidates, the board releases a final, non-negotiable answer key. The result is calculated based strictly on this final version.

💻 How to Download & Challenge

Once the notification is live on the official WBJEEB portal, follow these steps:

• Download: Log in to your candidate profile using your Application Number and Password/Date of Birth. Look for the “Model Answer Key” link.
• Challenging a Question: If you believe an answer is incorrect, you can challenge it online.
  • Fee: Typically ₹500 per question (non-refundable).
  • Requirement: You must upload a document (like a textbook reference) to support your claim.
• OMR Response Sheet: Simultaneously, the board usually releases your scanned OMR sheet. You can check if the computer read your bubbles correctly.

🧮 How to Calculate Your Score

Using the answer key, you can calculate your raw score before the results are announced:

• Correct Answer: +1 mark
• Incorrect Answer: -0.25 marks
• Unattempted: 0 marks

Formula: Score = (Total Correct x 1) – (Total Incorrect x 0.25)

Note: Because JEMAS(PG) has multiple different papers (MHA, MPT, M.Sc. MLT, etc.), ensure you are downloading the answer key specifically for your Subject Group Code.
