1. CAT Score:

  • Crucial Factor: The Common Admission Test (CAT) score is the foundation of IIM Indore’s selection process.  
  • Cutoff: Candidates must achieve a score above the minimum cutoff percentile set by the institute.
    • For example, for the General category in 2024, the minimum qualifying CAT cutoff was 90 percentile.  
  • Variation: The cutoff percentile fluctuates annually based on the number of applicants and the overall performance in the exam.  

2. Academic Performance:

  • Consistent Excellence: Strong academic performance throughout your educational journey is highly valued.
  • Key Stages:
    • Class 10th
    • Class 12th
    • Graduation (undergraduate degree)
  • Impact: A consistent track record of academic success significantly enhances your application.

3. Writing Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI):

  • Multi-faceted Assessment: These rounds evaluate various aspects of your profile:
    • Communication Skills: Fluency, clarity, and conciseness in both written and spoken English.
    • Analytical & Critical Thinking: Ability to analyze complex situations, form logical arguments, and provide insightful solutions.
    • Personality & Suitability: Evaluation of your personality traits, leadership potential, and overall fit for the rigorous IIM Indore program.

4. Shortlisting Process:

  • Eligibility: Candidates who meet the CAT cutoff and other eligibility criteria are shortlisted for the WAT and PI rounds.  
  • Factors Considered: Shortlisting considers a combination of factors, including:

5. Final Selection:
