Where to Find Previous Year Question Papers
Since the AP POLYCET syllabus is strictly based on the Class 10 (SSC) curriculum of the Andhra Pradesh Board, past papers are highly reliable for understanding the question patterns and difficulty levels. You can access them through several reputable educational portals:
- Official Sources: Always check the official website polycetap.ap.gov.in for the latest updates, official notifications, and sometimes sample question banks released by the SBTET.
How to Effectively Use Model/Previous Papers
- Simulate Exam Conditions: Set a timer for 2 hours and attempt the paper in one sitting without breaks. This helps you get accustomed to the pressure of the 120-question, 120-minute format.
- Focus on Question Types: Note that the exam consists of 120 MCQs (50 Math, 40 Physics, 30 Chemistry). Because there is no negative marking, use the practice sessions to learn how to approach tricky questions through elimination rather than leaving them blank.
- Analyze Your Weaknesses: After solving a paper, do not just check your score. Spend time reviewing the questions you got wrong to identify if the issue was a lack of conceptual clarity, a silly calculation error, or poor time management.
- Prioritize Repeated Topics: In competitive exams like POLYCET, certain concepts (e.g., Trigonometry in Math, Optics in Physics, Periodic Table in Chemistry) frequently appear in similar formats across different years.
Important Exam Details for 2026
- Mode: Offline (Pen-and-Paper/OMR-based).
- Hall Ticket: The hall tickets for the 2026 exam were released on April 18, 2026. Ensure you have downloaded and printed yours from the official website using your login credentials.
