AP POLYCET is a Polytechnic common entrance test conducted by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Mangalagiri for admission into Diploma level programs conducted in Government, Aided, Private, Un-aided Polytechnics and Second Shift polytechnics run in existing Private un-aided Engineering Colleges.
About POLYCET
Every candidate desirous of seeking admission into the Engineering / Non – Engineering Diploma course can apply online for POLYCET No separate application form for admission is prescribed. The filled-in application for POLYCET-2024 itself is an application for admission. For admission into Diploma Courses like Pharmacy, the entry qualification is 10 + 2 or 12th Standard. These candidates need not appear for POLYCET-2024 for admission into the said courses. A separate notification will be issued for admission to the said Diploma Courses.

AP POLYCET Exam
Admission into new Diploma Courses sanctioned if any during the academic year 2024 will be done on the basis of POLYCET-2024 rank. Similarly courses and intakes indicated in this book are subject to change by All India Council of Technical Education and approval from the Government of Andhra Pradesh and the actual intakes of courses will be notified at the time of making admissions.

The various diploma courses in Engineering offered through POLYCET in the Polytechnics, Course duration and the area of employment as envisaged for placements as Technicians and Technical Supervisors as well as possible areas for continuing education are given below.
AP POLYCET Eligibility Criteria
- Candidate shall be an Indian National
- Candidates should have passed S.S.C. Examination conducted by State Board of Secondary Education, Andhra Pradesh/ Telangana or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the Board of Secondary Education, A.P / TS, such as Central Board of Secondary Education(CBSE), Indian Council for Secondary Education(ICSE), National Institute of Open School (NIOS), A.P. Open School Society (APOSS), X class examination conducted by various State Boards of Secondary Education in India with Mathematics as one of the subjects.
- Candidates belonging to NIOS / APOSS / OTHER Examinations recognized as equivalent to SSC by A.P. Govt. SHOULD HAVE PASSED ALL THE SUBJECTS including Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, with minimum of 35% Marks in each subject.
- Candidates who appeared or are appearing for SSC or equivalent examination being held in April / May-2024, and whose results are yet to be declared can also appear for POLYCET- 2024.
- There is no age restriction for appearing for POLYCET-2024. However for maximum eligible age for obtaining a scholarship, the guidelines prescribed in Memo No.10537/SW(Edn.2)/2011, and issued from time to time by Social Welfare (Edn.) Department shall apply.
AP POLYCET Examination Centers
POLYCET-2024 will be conducted in nearly 400 Examination centres in 54 Towns / Cities in all 26 districts of Andhra Pradesh.
Urdu Medium Candidates are allotted separate centre in each region where assistance will be provided for translation at the time of Examination.

AP POLYCET Application Process
Procedure for filling of POLYCET Online Application : Click Here for Application Form
Fill in the Application form as per the guidelines:
- First fill the 10th Class Hall ticket No., Year of pass and Date of Birth.
- Fill your name as per school records with one letter for each box. Leave a gap between parts of your name.
- Fill your father’s name
- Fill your date of birth in DD MM YYYY [Date / Month / Year] format.
- Fill in your address details (House Number, Village / Street, Mandal / Town / City, District, PIN code, mobile number for correspondence.
- Fill in the place where you would like to appear for Examination. Refer the table Examination / help line centers.
- Enter the area code to which you are local to Andhra Pradesh
- Enter your reservation category (BC/SC/ST)
- Enter your special category, if any(CAP/SP/PH/NCC).
- Fill in minority community details (Other than Hindu) as entered in your school records.
- Fill in your willingness to appear the examination in Urdu medium.
- Examination in Urdu medium will be conducted only at Guntur and Nandyal centers.
- The filled in application form should be submitted with a payment of Rs. 400/- (OC / BC Candidates) Rs.100/- (SC / ST Candidates)
AP POLYCET Hall Ticket
The operator at the help line center enters the data given in the APPLICATION form and uploads the photo and signature after scanning and gives a print out to the student for verification. If the student is satisfied with the data entered, operator presses the Confirm button, and generates the hall ticket and issues the same to the student.
- Hall ticket issued to the candidate should be checked thoroughly. If mistake is found, it should be corrected through helpline center IMMEDIATELY to get a revised Hall Ticket.
- In case the candidate does not receive the Hall ticket, he/she may obtain the same through internet from the Websites http://appolycet.nic.in (or) contact personally in any help line centers
- Hall ticket is an important document and shall be preserved carefully after the examination till the admission into Polytechnics is completed.
- Candidate will be allowed at the designated examination center on production of printed Hall ticket. Familiarize yourself with the location of the examination center.
- Take the help of HLC personnel to know the route map to the examination center.
- First fill the 10th Class Hall ticket No., Year of pass and Date of Birth.

AP POLYCET-2024 Syllabus
The syllabus of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry for POLYCET-2024 is as per the syllabus prescribed for SSC Examination of April 2024 conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Andhra Pradesh.
AP POLYCET Counseling Process
Soon after the declaration of results of SSC and POLYCET-2024, detailed notification will be published in daily newspapers inviting the students to attend for certificate verification and option entry.
The details of web based counselling and venues for certificate verification and option
entry will be made available in web site https://appolycet.nic.in
Candidates called on each day for counselling shall attend with all original certificates
and documents for verification at any one of the designated venues.
