Master of Architecture (M.Arch) -The 2-year M.Arch. consists of graduate level coursework in architecture and related fields for those applicants with a bachelor of science degree in architecture or its equivalent. Admission is limited to fall term only. The program takes a more critical view of theory, design, and production. While a curriculum of professional coursework forms the basis for the two-year program, the college recognizes the perspectives gained from cross-department collaborations and encourages students to utilize the resources available here at a top-ranked research institution.

Master of Architecture is a two year Postgraduate Architecture engineering Degree Course in India. The study deal with the principles of the art of designing, construction and ornamentation of fine buildings. An Architect is a well-known profession whose guidance is required in the execution of construction projects, client discussions, and preparation and supervision, the study acquired various aspects for playing multidimensional role in the field. the advance master study of architecture improve skills, knowledge of modern techniques and also acquiring the technical aspects of candidates.

The study is focused on theoretical and practical aspects of academic discipline Like : architectural Design Studio, Contemporary Architecture, urban Design, Computer Application in Architecture & Planning, Technical Communication, Advanced Landscape Design, Advanced Building Technologies, Futuristic Architecture.

This course requires 2 years of the time period in India. It’s a full-time degree course, but some student use part-time and distance learning educational program in certain criteria because it’s academic discipline is based on practical aspects of Architecture.

Eligibility

The candidate who have completed Bachelor Degree like Bachelor of Architecture or an Equivalent Examination with minimum 50% marks, such candidates are eligible to take admission in master's st udy program. Selection is based on merit.

Entrance Examination

In India it is mandatory to give an additional entrance exam for pursuing in,Master of Architecture Entrance Examination are conducted on the National basis such as, National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA), Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Planning and Architecture Common Entrance Test (PACET), School of Planning and Architecture Entrance Examination, etc.

Career Option

After the successful completion of master degree course, one can recognized as Architect and have excellent employment opportunities in Government and Private Sector like : Public Works Department (PWD), Town and Country Planning Organization, Housing & Urban Development Organization, Private Construction Organization, educational Institutes, etc. One can work as, Architectural Technician, Building Control Officer, Architectural Engineer, Building Inspector ,Architectural Critic and Photographer, etc.
