Architecture, Design and Planning are the integral part of human civilization pursued by mankind since ancient days and got refined at subsequent ages emerging as a profession. Today these professions have gained paramount significance where high technology, science creativity and art is put to highest challenge of satisfying needs life greatly depends on quality of built enviournment. The concern for making the built enviournment most conducive and sustainable along with conservation of natural and financial resources, has added more seriousness to the nature of these fields.
Priyadarshini Institute of Architecture and Design Studies (PIADS) has been growing from strength to strength in all the parameters governing quality education. With talented faculty and modern infrastructure, PIADS is poised to set standards of professional education in the region. I am proud to lead to lead this institute which has rare status of being an independent institute with a difference, capable of turning out professionals to succeed in this competitive age and enrich the quality of human life through their conscious creation and prompt service to the society.
PIADS is located at Nagpur, in the centre of India. Famously known as the 'Orange City', Nagpur is one of the fastest developing cities of the country, but uniquely, without the overpowering gust of development experienced in other such cities!! Nagpur still is a calm, quiet and peaceful city, with a comprehensive spread and accommodating multi-cultural populance. This, along with its location, makes Nagpur a perfect city for two of the most vital necessities for any society - Health and Education. Indeed, it has become a major hub for the two aspects. Nagpur also is the second greenest city and is ranked 10th on the basis of economy, size and population with rapidly developing infrastructure for Housing, Recreation, International Transportation and crowning glory of the city - MIHAN SEZ. LTJSS and PIADS have contributed extensively to this rapidly progressing city, with the commitment towards quality education.
