Diploma in Anaesthesia (DA) - Stands for Diploma in Anaesthesia. Typically, M.D.(Anaesthesia) is a three year course, minimum eligibility for which is an M.B.B.S with 1 year compulsory internship. Anaesthesiology focuses on utilization of drugs that minimize pain by causing insensibility. Under this degree, students learn about areas such as ambulatory anesthesia, cardiothoracic anesthesiology, pediatric anesthesiology, neuroanesthesia, obstetrical anesthesiology and pain management.
