Government Danteshwari PG College was founded by the Govt of Chhattisgarh on the occasion of 36th Independence day of India, dated 15th August, 1982 Code No.- 64/04/4504., The first brick of present college building was set on the date of 5th October, 1986 by the contemporary state minister Rail transportation Indian Government respectable Shri Madhav Rao Sindhiya Ji in the chairmanship of respected Chief Minister of Madhya Predesh Shri Motilal Vora Ji., Initially the college was run by its first Principal Shri Sitaram Ji with only 08 students. Six subject in B.A. like Hindi, English, Economics, Sociology, History, Political Science and B.com. was accepted as the first courses in this college., Post Graduation was starts in the session 2005-06 in two subjects as History and Political Science., B.Sc. course in Mathematics and Biology was started by the session – 2003-04, Jan Bhagidari Committee of college insures the participation and responsibility of locale citizens in the decision making process about the development of college and well-being of students. It is established by the date of 23rd October 1997., In the college 569 students are studied in the current session- 2013-14 in different courses like B.A., B.Sc., B.Com. and M.A.. 1500 to 2000 private students in each session are also admitted in the college., A world class stadium has also been newly constructed in its campus which enables the institute to host/organize sports meet/tournaments of state/national level. The institute has a separate auditorium to organize curricular/cultural activities, conferences and workshops. Separate boys and girls hostels are available control by the Govt. of Chhattisgarh. It is provides accommodation to the students coming from nearby socially and economically deprivated area., Therefore, the institute provides not only the opportunity to study but also ensure complete development of students necessary for their successful career., Government Danteshwari PG College, established in 1982 is an institute of higher education, located at Dantewada., A beautiful district situated in South Bastar region of Chhattisgarh State.
