Department of Animal Reproduction, Gynaecology & Obstetrics

The Department was earlier running under Animal Breeding & Genetics and came in independent existence as department of Veterinary Gynaecology & Obstetrics in the year 1968 and Col. S. M. Ishaq was the first Head of the Department. Subsequently it was redesignated as Department of Animal Reproduction, Gynaecology & Obstetrics.

Quality teaching for production of well trained Veterinary Graduates & Post Graduates in the field of Animal Reproduction.
To conduct farmers problems research pertaining to male and female reproduction for augmentation of fertility in animals.
Transfer of technology from research laboratory to the farmers/ livestock owners for enhancement of calf crop and milk production.
