Daita Madhusudana Sastry Sri Venkateswara Hindu College of Engineering, Machilipatnam is one of the oldest self financed institutions in the state of Andhra Pradesh to impart high quality of Technical Education in the Engineering discipline.

The only one Engineering College in ‘MACHILIPATNAM’ was established in the academic year 1980-81 by the famous “The Hindu High & Branch Schools Society”, the origin of which goes back to a period about one-and-a-half centuries ago. The name of the college happens to be “Sri Venkateswara Hindu College of Engineering” from 1980 up to 2006. After the sad demise of the Founder Chairman ‘Sri Daita Madhusudana Sastry garu’ in the year 2004, an appropriate decision was taken by the members of the Society and the members of the Governing Body to change the name of the college from “Sri Venkateswara Hindu College of Engineering” to “Daita Madhusudana Sastry Sri Venkateswara Hindu College Of Engineering” in honour of the founder. Accordingly, officially the Government and AICTE have effected the change in the name of the college in the year 2006. Since then “Sri Venkateswara Hindu College of Engineering, ie., SVHCE” is known as “Daita Madhusudana Sastry Sri Venkateswara Hindu College of Engineering, ie DMS SVHCE”.

The college is affiliated to JNTUK and is located in the historic town of Machilipatnam which is also the headquarters of Krishna District. The college was established and founded during the year 1980-81 by The Hindu High & Branch Schools Society Estd In 1856 under the guidance of late Sri Daita Madhusudana Sastry, a prominent advocate and educationist. The college is privately managed and owes its existence to the untiring efforts of the members of the Society.

The Engineering college campus is located with in a radius of 6km from Machilipatnam town on one side and Manginipudi Beach on the another side.

College offers professional courses both at the graduate and postgraduate levels in engineering and computer applications streams. Graduate courses include Bachelor of Technology BTech, in five branches, namely, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.The College also offers M.Tech program in Mechanical Engineering with Specialization in Machine Design and Civil Engineering with Specialization in Structural Engineering. All the courses are approved by All India Council of Technical Education AICTE with a total annual intake of 420 for B.Tech. courses. Our institution is equipped with excellent infrastructure and is run by highly qualified and experienced faculty.

DMSSVHCE is producing excellent results consistently every year with some of the students emerging as University rankers also. Students from our college are extremely well placed in reputed organisations both in India and abroad.
