15th October 2015: Jaipur: A show exemplified with Songs, Dance, Paintings, an array of Mind catching IT competitions that filled everyone with thrill showed that when young and creative minds are collaborated to perform, the show is certainly rocks. Continuing with the enthusiastic flow and enigmatic colors of the hectic IT fest Montage-2015, second day proved to be diverse at IIIM.
On the first day of the event, competitions such as “Brain Bench”, “Aamne Saamne”, Bits and Bytes” and “Tall” were the attractions. In Taal - The Antakshri, students Vandana Agarwal & Vijay Laxmi Yadav were the winners whereas the team of Swati Aneja & Komal Mathur were the runners-up.
The Second Day of Montage started with Drishti The Perception, in this event, games like Dumb-charades, Pictionary, Memory Test were included for participants to interpret information from a number of available resources. Kanwaljeet Kaur & Vandana Agarwal University Centre for Comp. Sci. & I.T., UOR won the first place, whereas Salabh Jain & Abdul Mazid from University Centre for Comp. Sci. & I.T., UOR occupied Second position.
Rangoli making competition, Spectrum was an event to express colorful spirit for the participants. Anshul Ojha & Lalita Jangir from University Centre for Comp. Sci. & I.T., UOR emerged as the winner and Kriti Rathor & Kavita Kumawat from Biyani Group of College were the runners-up in this competition.
“Ooh La La” adapted the popular game “Snakes and Ladders” to test the general awareness and knowledge of the participants. The winner of this competitions was Naveen Singh from Shree Karni College and the runner-up was Divyanshu Kumar from Apex Institute of Management and Science.
In “Thru-Ur-Eyes”, the theme based photography event, ideas, moods and expressions were captured trough the digital images on the themes ‘Still Life', Decoration’ and ‘Art of Photography’. This event got an overwhelming response from the participants. Priyanka Kulshrestha from Shree Karni College stood first and Yogendra Singh from S.S. Jain Subodh P.G.College stood second in the competition.
Collage Making –On-Computer based event “Pixels” was intended to test the participants ability to make a meaningful collage using images provided to them. Participants made diverse college on the given theme “APJ Abdul Kalam: Transforming India”. The team of Virendra Kushwah and Ummed Gehlot from Rajasthan Institute of Engineering and Technology (R.I.E.T.) and Shiksha Jain and Abhishek Meena from University Centre for Comp. Sci. & I.T., UOR bagged the winner and runners-up posting respectively.
Code-Acumen was to judge the programming and problem-solving ability of the contestants. The participants were required to debug the scripts and to build some programs on the basis of given pattern. Preeti Rana, Preeti Singh from Rajasthan College of Engg. For Women won the first prize while Shivam Chakrapani, Rajesh Saini from Apex Institute of Management and Science stood second.
D4U, the choreography competition was full of joy and passion. This round was to show choreographic and dancing skills. Various enthralling performances were displayed by participants. Monika Kumari Prajapat , Annu Chaudhary, Kajal Shekhawat from Shree Karni College college were adjudged as winners while Jagmohan Gurjar, Vijay Gupta, Mamta, Rashmi Sharma, Payal Sharma from S.S. Jain Subodh P.G.College won the second prize in the event.
“EUPHONY” the valediction ceremony of Monatge 2015, was a fun filled program. IIMites performed on various dance themes like contemporary, classical and hip-hop.Chief Guest of the valediction ceremony Mr. Ajitabh Sharma, IAS, Secretary, State Water Resources, and Chairman IGCP felicitated the winners and runners-up with trophies. The Montage trophy was awarded to University Centre for Comp. Sci. & I.T., UOR for excelling in all events of the IT fest.
