Mr Rajeev Shukla, Minister of Parliamentary affairs honored with Doctorate degree

Mr Rajeev Shukla, Minister of Parliamentary affairs was honored with Doctorate degree by Amity university during the last day of convocation held at Amity Campus, Noida between 14th to 16th December 2011.

During the last day of the convocation Mr Rajeev Shukla received doctorate degree of Philosophy (D.Phil) for his continuous effort at the national level.

  • Parliamentary Panel to MHRD: Shortage of university teachers critical

    A Parliamentary Panel has asked the Ministry of Human resource and Development (MHRD) to llok into the faculty crunch in universities across states. The panel reports that in 24 central universities across 16 states, on an average 35 per cent of teaching posts are lying vacant. "Either our young students are not attracted towards the teaching profession or the recruitment process is a prolonged one and involves too many procedural formalities," the panel says. Banaras Hindu University has 848 posts vacant, and Allahabad University has 285 vacant posts.
