About YMCA University of Science and Technology, Faridabad
YMCA University of Science and Technology (YMCA UST) was previously known as YMCA Institute of Engineering (YMCA IE). It was established in 1969 as an indo-German project, a joint venture of the National Council of YMCA India, the Government of Haryana and the Central Agencies for Development Aid, Bonn, Germany. In December 2009 it was awarded the status of state university by the state government, thus making it an autonomous institution. The University is situated on National Highway-2, Mathura Road, 30 km from National Capital,
Delhi. The University campus is located in the sprawling Faridabad-Ballabgarh Industrial complex.
YMCA University holds four-year undergraduate B.Tech courses in several Engineering fields such as Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering and Electronics Instrumentation & Control. In addition, YMCA offers a Master of Business Administration (MBA) course also. Admission is preferably through the
Common Admission Test (CAT) or
Management Aptitude Test (MAT) .
YMCA University has separate hostels for girls (two wings) and boys (4 wings : Zakir Hussain Hall, Nehru Hall, Tagore Hall) . Facilities like free WiFi are provided in the hostels.
