Having started its journey in 2002, the Institute has seen significant positive transformation after being taken over by the Neotia Foundation in 2008.

Harshavardhan Neotia, the Chairman, had long nurtured a dream of leveraging the Group’s potential in the advancement of education. Thus, as a representative of Ambuja Neotia initiative, NITMAS seeks to epitomize distinction and integrity in the field of academics.

The family of our founder and Chairman Mr.Harshavardhan Neotia, were co-promoters of the cement giant, Ambuja Cement Ltd. The Neotia family started its journey in education with the Neotia Institute of Technology, Management and Science NITMAS, previously known as the Institute of Technology and Marine Engineering ITME, a college established in 2002, approved by All India Council of Technical Education AICTE and affiliated to the then West Bengal University of Technology, which is now known as Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology MAKAUT. Having started its journey nine years earlier, the Institute has seen significant positive transformation after being taken over by the Neotia Foundation in 2008.

NITMAS is a dynamic endeavour of the Ambuja Neotia Group in the field of education. NITMAS continues to offer long-established conventional courses, like Electronics and Communication Engineering ECE and Computer Science and Engineering CSE in the field of technological education to the students in West Bengal.
