Kishore Bharati Bhagini Nivedita Co-ed College, Behala provides undergraduate courses in arts, science and commerce. The curriculum is designed by the Boards of Studies of Calcutta University. The college is well equipped with all modern facilities. A variety of teaching and learning techniques are employed to impart knowledge and skills to the students of the college. The college is affiliated to the Calcutta University. It is the oldest of the modern universities in India. It was established in 1857 during the administration of Lord Canning, the Governor General of India.

Kishore Bharati Bhagini Nivedita College Co-Ed, previously known as Kishore Bharati Bhagini Nivedita Girls' College was founded in the year 2001, with the twin objectives of imparting quality instruction in conventional subjects in Arts, Science and Commerce and to continuously update itself by introducing new types of subjects to keep place with the change in higher education pattern in the state in view of the new scenario of industrialisation with the emergence of new technology with resultant demand for young men with new generation education back ground.
