      About Hiralal Bhakat College, Birbhum

      Hiralal Bhakat College, Birbhum was established in 1986 by the untiring effort of some educated people and the donation of huge some of money by Late Hiralal Bhakat, a respected businessman of Nalhati. It is now one of the leading college of Birbhum district. It helps the poor students to achieve their goal. It is a Private Aided College and received UGC affiliation in the year 1987. The curriculum is designed by the Boards of Studies of Burdwan University. The college offers under graduate course in Arts and commerce stream. The college is well equipped with all modern facilities.

      The college has a good library with about ten thousand text books and important journals, newspapers etc. Every bonafide student is issued a library card for borrowing books from the college library. One additional library card may be issued on deposit of additional library caution deposit . Library books must be returned / renewed in time to avoid fine.
      Sports facilities are available in the campus. Annual Sports event is held in the month of December in every year
      Good transportation facilities for its students, staff members and visiting guests.
      SC,ST,OBC,PH, minority section and other meritorious students should contact the college office in time for Govt. scholarships and stipends. Poor & meritorius students should apply in prescribed form available from the college office in time for concession in Tuition fees and financial help from students.
      Proper healthcare arrangements are done by college. Proper Medical Facilities are available

      During off-periods students may go tothe Reading Room for reading books, Newspapers & Journals from the Library . Separate common room for boys and girls also provide facilicities of indoor games like carrom etc
