      It is a 4 years long Undergraduate Bachelor Degree program.

      B.Sc. Agriculture program consists of topics such as- agriculture science, use of modern scientific equipment and techniques in agriculture, land surveying, soil science, water resource management, animal and poultry management, basics of biotechnology etc.

      The main aim of this program is to use the above mentioned concepts to train students improve agriculture productivity, manage products and pave way for future developments through research activities.

      Agronomy: Basics of Agronomy, Field Crops (Kharif), Field Crops (Rabi), Crop Production, Weed Management, Irrigation Techniques, Water resource management, Organic Farming, Sustainable agriculture.       Entomology: Pest Management, Beneficial Insects, Grain Storage and Management. Like the above entries, along with theoretical subjects, practical sessions involving them are also present.

      Agricultural Economics: Market prices, Trade prices, Marketing, Finance, Agribusiness Management, Farm Management. Along with the theoretical subjects, practical sessions involving them are also present.

      Agriculture Engineering: Agriculture Machinery, Power and Tools, Harvest Technology, Environment Science and Engineering, Renewable Energy. Along with the theoretical subjects, practical sessions involving them are also present.

      Agricultural Meteorology: Climate patterns, Climatic hazards on Agriculture, Climatic Zones, Weather forecasting. Practical sessions related to the theoretical subjects are also present.

      Plant Pathology: Crop Diseases, Nematology. Practical sessions related to the theoretical subjects are also present.

      Horticulture: Fruit Crops, Medicinal Plants, Aromatic Plants, Flower Production, Spices, Plantation Crops. Practical sessions related to the theoretical subjects are also present.

      The JBIT campus has been interconnected through Wired as well as Wireless (Wi-Fi) Networks. The facilities provide access to internet, intranet, and institution based e-mail.

      The coverage of Wi-Fi is not restricted to classrooms alone but also extends to common areas like lawns, auditoriums, and library, cafeteria, and student hostels.

      With this infrastructure, the students of JBIT have access to all e-learning materials related to academics. In addition, online access to various reference books, journals, international papers has also been made available for the benefit of students.
      The JBIT library collectively supports the teaching, research and extension programmers of the institute. The Library, besides having a huge collection of books on Engineering, Science, Technology and Humanities offers Library services through its various divisions. We have attempted to make the JBIT Library a 21st century knowledge based society of tomorrow. JBIT Library shall continue to adapt to challenging new demands and provides a professional and conducive learning atmosphere for the empowerment of its users.

      The Library has subscribed for 84 National/ International Journals & Magazine. JBIT Library is the member of DELNET (Developing Library Network) New Delhi. It aims to collect, store, and disseminate information besides offering computerized services to users, to coordinate efforts for suitable collection development and also reduce unnecessary duplication wherever possible.

      Badminton & basketball court- Separate badminton court is located in the college premises. Court is well managed and has all the modern facilities. Separate Basketball ground is located in the college campus.

      Cricket & football ground - Separate football and cricket grounds are located inside college campus. . Often these are played in social or family situations, or when darkness or bad weather prevent people from moving outside.

      Indoor Games - Facility of indoor games like: Table TENNIS, Carom, Chess, Badminton, Billiard etc.
      The College has adequate buses which are made available to the students and the faculty members for commuting from various points in the city and also from the suburbs like Vikasnagar, Selaqui, Herbertpur, Kalsi,Paonta to the campus and back. All students should make use of the college transport or should stay in the hostel. This facility has made it possible to start the classes in time and thereby helping the academic process. Our bus facilities have enabled us to maintain discipline among students.
      The Institution has four on campus boys hostel with a capacity of over 500 students and one girls hostel block with a capacity of over 150 students. The hostel premises are wi-fi enabled and a computer centre is set-up within the premises with 24*7 internet availability. The hostel mess is equipped with modern appliance and serves pure vegetarian nutritious and hygienic food. The wardens reside in the hostel campus and look after students with love & affections. Our deep concern for the safety and security of our students ensure that the hostels have 24*7 security.

      JBIT campus is a thriving & bubbling campus and it offers a wonderful life to its students both day scholar & hostel residents where in students unique capabilities will be identified and based on interest a student will get ample opbportunities to contribute to cultural events sports competition , computer gaming, camps etc.
      The campus has an all- day cafeteria which ensures good refreshments for the students so that they can unwind after a busy day. Food! The mere thought of it makes you go crazy. In the lap of lush green mountains Cafeteria is the place for all. A sip of ICE-TEA and you will get a different feeling of JBIT. The cafeteria is professionally managed by a special catering company, which is responsible for providing healthy and hygienic meals all the time.
      Our Mess is set inside a cool modern interior that offers a casual yet stylish dining atmosphere. There are separate dining halls for boys and girls. Laundry Facility

      Gym is a complete fitness center that provides facilities for Fitness, Weight Reducing, Weight Gaining, Weight Training, and Executive Fitness Program.
      In order to enhance the efficiency & quality in all the functional areas in the college, ERP system has been implemented in the college campus. Facilities offered by the ERP package are availed by the faculty, staff and students/parents.

      “SMS alert” are being sent to the parents on daily basis or on necessity basis.

      Attendance/Sessional Marks/Assignments /Teacher Notes/Video-Lectures are being uploaded in the portal for the students to refer to them or download them at their own convenience. Parents have access to this portal and can see the performance of their wards.
      A Language Lab in extremely helpful to students of engineering who should be ready to shape their career anywhere in the world .At our Language Lab students are given a brief introduction to Linguistics and Phonetics. Then they are ready to develop world-class communication skills in English using the facilities provided here.
      This weekly, 2-hour, tutorial class will focus on problem-solving equations related to math, engineering, and sciences. The lab portion of the class does include a group project. This course is taken in each semester that a student is enrolled compulsory.
      We believe not only in educating our students but also parenting them. Teacher-guardian scheme is defined by the following activities: Providing emotional support to students on individual basis. Helping students overcome home sickness. Establishing rapport between teachers, student & parents. Monitoring attendance and behavioral aspects of every student. Identifying weak areas and working out remedies helping students thereby taking their complete care.
      To facilitate the banking facility for the student as well as faculty staff and other college family members, we have ATM facility in the college premises.

      24 hours security with CCTV Surveillance System & armed guards in the night.

      In JBIT we also take care of your health, as a healthy body leads to a healthy mind. Regular exercise enhances the sense of mental well-being along with the general physical health.

      All the students are given free treatment for day to day medical problems. No consultation fee is charged. The college has tied up for the services of a leading Doctor visiting the students regularly in the college premises during college timing.
      For emergency situation the students are sent to authorized & recognized hospital for specialized treatment after giving first-aid. During off time, leading Hospitals and Doctors are on call to attend to any need of medical attention.
      A two days annual techno cultural event of JBIT provides great platform to students to showcase their talent. The campus host various national & international events, cultural programmes, music concerts,plays, flash mobs etc during entire academic year.
