      The Institute of Biosciences & Biotechnology (IBSBT) was established in the year 2001 as a focal point for quality education and research in emerging biological sciences. IBSBT is unique in providing state-of-the-art education in the basic and applied fields such as Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Environmental Sciences, Microbiology, Nutrition Sciences and Food Technology under one aegis, providing for interdisciplinary interactions amongst students and faculty alike.

      The University has state of the art computer center. The center is well equipped with computing resources and caters to the academic needs of the University. The computer center provides hands on experience to the users and always keeps pace with the advancement of technology. The faculty and students in the university campus have free access to the computer center and use internet facility available therein. The Centre is equipped with the most advanced computer systems, line printers, laser printers, scanner, CD writers, zip drives etc.
      The computer center also offers courses like Diploma in Computer application (D.C.A.), Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Sciences (P.G.D.C.S.) and Certificate courses in Computer Sciences. This Center also carries out compilation and processing of data after the completion of examinations and is responsible for the preparation and timely declaration of the results.
      A huge stadium has been constructed in the University campus. It is used for sports activities like 400 meter. race, hammer throw, long jump, high jump, cricket tournament ,football, hockey, basketball, handball, volley ball, tennis, kabaddi, kho kho, etc . The stadium is open for sports activities of students, teachers, officers and employees of the University and students of affiliated colleges of the University.
      The University boasts of a state of the art auditorium which played host to the foundation day celebration of the University. Painted with lively colours , the centrally airconditioned auditorium is an engineering marvel and has a seating capacity of 1500 audience. The auditorium has wall to wall carpeting as well as world class furniture which is both good looking as well as ideal for long hours viewing. Besides a huge stage, the auditorium also has dolby surround sound which makes the audience come alive. In addition to magnificent interiors , the auditorium also has lush green exteriors and a parking which is big enough to accommodate hundreds of vehicles at a time. It would not be an exaggeration to say that till date, this auditorium is the best of its kind in Kanpur .

      The cafeteria is a place to relax after long hours of study . Always occupied by students both juniors as well as seniors, the cafeteria has a lot of goodies to offer at affordable prices. Open 6 days a week, the cafeteria is a place where students throw their birthday parties .
      Filled with the exuberance of youth , the cafeteria has an atmosphere which is difficult to describe unless you are yourself there. The cafeteria has played host to a large number of students who went on to occupy prestigious positions in large multinational companies The students carry everlasting memories of the cafeteria when they leave the University.

      The Guest House plays host to a number of guests of the University. With well furnished rooms and excellent catering service , most guests prefer to stay in the University Guest House. Situated next to the bank and at walking distance from the Administrative Building, the University Guest House has an ideal location. The University Guest House has large banquet halls which are used for organizing lunch and dinner for participants during seminars and conferences. The University Guest House offers a huge parking space for visitors. Prior to the construction of Centre for Academics, the University Guest House was also used for conducting interviews.
      A separate lecture hall complex has been constructed in the University campus. This Lecture hall complex comprises lecture hall which provides a facility of 72 lectures in a day. The lecture hall complex is equipped with all modern technique required for effective lecture delivering
      The multipurpose Hall is situated in the center of University campus. It has a capacity of more than 1000 persons. The hall is used for indoor games such as badminton, table tennis, cultural programmers like classical dance, debate, poster making, rangoli, cartooning, on act play, mimicry etc. The Inter collegiate youth festival, north zone badminton cultural programme spandan 2004 have been organized in the year 2003 2004 in the multipurpose hall.
