Nalla Malla Reddy Engineering has been established by Nalla Malla Reddy Education Society. Prof.Talla Venkat Reddy is the Chairman of NMREC.

The basic philosophy of the Institute is to provide quality technical education with thorough practical knowledge. The college has all the infrastructure and labs required for the curriculum, and more than what is mentioned by the AICTE and JNTU. The facilities provided by the college include a huge Library with a Digital Library and a digital subscription for all the IEEE publications, and a subscription to many other National and International Journals.

The college also has separate hostel facilities for both boys and girls, transport to all parts of the city, and a neat and clean canteen for serving refreshments for the students and staff. The college is a JKC center with a “star” status, an Oracle Academy member, is a CSI Institutional Member, and an IETE Institutional Member. Our students have been placed in some well known organizations like CSC, Satyam Mahindra, Capital IQ, and TCS. The college is in the process of organising on campus interviews by some of the top companies in this academic year.
The college has the entire infrastructure necessary for the curriculum and also provides extra facilities and research centers to imbibe research culture, and give more exposure among the NMRians.

The core strength of the college is its departments. The college has core departments offering UG and PG programs, and 2 supporting departments.

Facilities

Professional Societies

The college has a Computer Society of India (CSI) student chapter, IEEE student chapter, IETE college chapter, Association of Electrical Engineers (AEE), and an Association of Mechanical Engineers (AME). The college also has an ISTE faculty chapter.

Following NMREC facilities are provided

• Labs: Common facilities for all the students include a Computer Center, Digital Library, Engineering Workshop, IT Workshop, two Drawing Halls, Language Lab, Physics and Chemistry Labs. First year labs are conducted in these.

  Computer Science Department has well-equipped computer labs with modern software for both curriculum and for the student projects. M.Tech students are allocated a separate lab. The department provides WIFI for its students to enable them to work for their projects.

• Library: The library subscribes to National, and International journals, Magazines, besides having a separate newspapers section providing atleast 30 Newspapers daily. Digital Library with 30 systems is also available with printing facility.
• Transport: The College Buses cover most of the parts of Hyderabad. A Nominal fee is collected towards the Bus fare from the Students on the Basis of their boarding point.
• Hostels: Separate Hostel Buildings for Girls & Boys are available. MREC Hostels have all the required facilities for the students to have a comfortable stay.
• Canteen: The College Canteen provides hygeinic and healthy food for all the students and staff of NMREC. One of the unique aspects of the college canteen is that biogas is being used for cooking purposes. This makes it an Eco friendly and a 'Green' Canteen.
• Medical Care:
  The college has a Health center in the campus. A bigger health clinic is available at a walk able distance from the college campus.
• Sports: NMREC Students' participation in Games and sports include - Athletics, Badminton, Basket Ball, Chess, Caroms, Cricket, Foot Ball, Table Tennis, Hockey, Throw Ball, Tennicoit, Volley ball.
• The college alo has Anti-Ragging Committee, Anti-ragging Squad

Placements

The NMREC Placements center in collaboration with the other departments of the college constantly works towards the development and progress of the students to meet the Human Resources needs of the institutions that provide and generate placements to them.

NMREC students have been placed in some well-known organizations like Nokia Siemens, CSC, Google, Satyam Mahindra, Capital IQ, InRhythm Solutions, IBM, Infosys, TCS, Hyundai, Atlascopco, Medha Servo Drives through direct placement drives.

Many corporate like InRhythm Solutions, C3I Software, DCS Solutions, SERCO, Vatson Foams India Pvt Ltd, Medha Servo Drives, Bajaj Allianz, ICICI Prudential, IBM, Angel Broking, TCS, Stam Multimedia Solutions, Saboo Motors, Indiabulls Securities Ltd., Jain Irrigation Systems Pvt. Ltd., etc., visited the NMREC campus.
