It was affiliated to Madras University till the academic year 2000 – 2001 and from the year 2001 – 2002 onwards it is affiliated to Thiruvalluvar University., The College has a total building area of 10092.97 square meters. It contains two separate buildings for UG and PG courses with well equipped laboratories and spacious class rooms. There is a hygienic canteen, which provides beverages, breakfast and lunch. Separate Hostels are available for boys and girls. The hostels provide hygienic vegetarian food.
