      About Sengamala Thayaar Educational Trust Womans College, Thiruvarur

      Mannargudi or Raja Mannarkoil which derives its name from the Presiding Deity of the town Sri Rajagopalaswamy is a century old Municipality in the heart of the old undivided Thanjavur District and which is now one of the important towns of Thiruvarur district. Our College has taken the name of Sri Sengamala Thayaar, the Divine Consort of Sri Rajagopalaswamy. Though there is one Government College in Mannargudi, the need for an exclusive women’s college has always been keenly felt.
