G.R. Damodaran Teacher Training Institute, Coimbatore, was established by The GRD Trust in the academic year 2009-2010, in tune with the vision of Prof. G.R.Damodaran, whose cherished dream was to modernize the education of educators.

Over a period of six years, dedicated to the cause of innovation in Education, G.R. Damodaran Teacher Training Institute has made unparalleled contribution to the society by bringing out a new category of teachers who could generate and instil a good value system in the future generations while grooming them to meet the challenges posed by the era of evolving technological progress.

Mission
To groom educators and equip them with up-to-date scientific knowledge and skills related to education, to be creative, motivated, self-confident, self reliant and adept at designing and using effective teaching strategies.
To train our student teachers to adopt a life-related, student-centered and development-oriented approach in their work so as to maximize learning and foster the fullest development of the creative and productive potentials of their young wards.
To impart the Principles of Man-making Education and instill the social and ethical values in the Student Teachers.
