The Madha Arts and Science college was started in the year 2006 – 07. It is affiliated to University of Madras and is approved by the Government of Tamilnadu to conduct U.G Courses such as B.Sc Biotechnology, B.Sc Computer science, B.C.A and B.Com General. This college intends to impart quality education in the field of Arts and Science in an effective way.
This College is mainly to inculcate the state of the art of Applied Sciences, Computer Sciences and Media Science where it basically needs in the scientific research and technological upliftment of our country.
Madha Arts and Science College was established by Loordhu Ammal Educational trust under the guidance of our chairman. After obtaining Govt. of. Tamil Nadu permission (G.O.No:319 Higher Edu. (E1) Dept. Dt 12.09.05) and University of Madras affiliation, the college was inaugurated by the Finance Minister Hon. Prof. K. Anbalagan on 17.07.06).
Loordhu Ammal Educational Trust was founded in the year 1999 by Dr. S. Peter, Founder and Chairman of Madha Group of Academic Institutions. This is a registered Christian Minority Trust. This is managed by Mrs. P. Mercy Florence, B.E., M.S., D/o Dr. S. Peter. The Trust was started as a mission to provide education to all.
To cater to the growing challenges of this ever - developing scientific and technological world, the only resource that one could immediately and always turn to is human resource.
Just as man has to find strength of mind and body from within himself to battle the vagaries of life, the nation also has to look to manpower for its own development. Our motto being - ‘Success to All and failure to None’ - Madha Arts and Science College, equips every individual with knowledge and strength to face the future confidently. Hence, the need of the hour, was to build a ‘Centre of Excellence’, which led to the birth of this college in 2006, sponsored by Loordhu Ammal Educational Trust and founded by Dr. S. Peter - the Chairman; a philanthropist and a business tycoon.
