Department of Epidemiology

The Department of Epidemiology was established in the Tamil Nadu Dr.M.G.R.Medical University in February 1997 with assistance from the Government of Tamil Nadu under the Part II scheme. A full time Professor was appointed in 1998 and the department has expanded in terms of man power and other provisions since thereafter.

=> M Sc in Epidemiology
=> Ph.D in Epidemiology

Eligibility :

Candidates seeking admission for the 1st year of the Master of Science in Epidemiology should have passed any one of the following examinations recognized by the MCI /DCI / CCIM /CCH /CCNY/ PCI / INC.

a. Should have passed any one of the following examinations recognized by The Tamilnadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University or any other University recognized as equivalent thereto.

MBBS/BDS/AYUSH/B.V.Sc./M.P.T./M.O.T./M. Pharmacy / M.Sc (Nursing) / M.Sc. Nutrition /M.Sc. Biochemistry /Anatomy /Physiology/ Pharmacology/ Microbiology and other Medical related M.Sc's
