Department of Agronomy

The department is functioning in one of the oldest buildings called Freeman building with the amalgamation of British architecture. Freeman building has been completed during the year 1926.

The actual genesis of the department was in the year 1959. The subject Agronomy had a status with the start of Post-Graduate programme in the year 1965. The Ph.D. programme was started in the year 1976. This subject deals with field management aspect of crop production. All the factors of production are taken into account.
