Medical Laboratory Technology also called Clinical laboratory science is an allied health profession which is concerned with the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease through the use of clinical laboratory tests. These tests help doctors to detect, diagnose and treat diseases. A Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) do these tests by analyzing body fluids, tissues, blood typing, microorganism screening, chemical analyses, cell counts of human body etc. They play an important role in collecting the information's needed, sampling, testing, reporting and documentation of these investigations. They determine the presence, extent or absence of disease and provide data needed to evaluate the effectiveness of treatment.
Admission Procedure :
Step1 :
Application form can be obtained from: Admission Office, Sharda University, Greater Noida Campus, Regional Offices and International Offices.

Visit University Campus or Regional Offices for completing Admission formalities
Step 3 :
If selected, candidates can deposit the fee through Cash/DD at Sharda University campus or through payment gateways like Credit Card, Axis Bank, Punjab National Bank DD, Cash, etc., within 15 days of the announcement of selection.
Career and Placement :
A technologist may find jobs in hospitals, minor emergency centres, private laboratories, blood banks and doctor's office or clinics, etc
Achievements :
The 1st Batch of students of B. Sc. Medical Lab Technology was admitted in 2011 and is undergoing their training and studies. The students of different batches of Diploma in Medical Lab Technology who have passed-out have been placed for gainful employment in a number of healthcare facilities in the NCR.
