Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) is the state academic board. The board came into the existence on October 01, 1974. While in March 1975 the board conducts its first High School Leaving Certificate Examinations at six centres. There were 2008 total candidates for the first time. After this, the board holds the responsibility for HSSLC (class 12th) as well as class 8th and 9th. Apart from conducting the examinations, Nagaland Board takes care of prescribing the syllabus and providing the textbooks to all the registered students.
The HSSLC and HSLC examinations are two years courses that are bifurcated into two-one year courses and the examinations are held at the end of each year.
- Centralized Examination: The HSSLC and HSLC examinations are conducted in selected centres at the end of Class 12 and Class 10 respectively. The evaluation is centralized and the results are declared through gazette and internet.
- Decentralized Examination: Promotion examinations for Classes 9 & 11 are held in the registered institutions of the Board. Question papers are set and supplied to the institutions by the Board, while evaluation and declaration of results are done internally by schools/colleges as per the criteria given by the Board.
NBSE HSLC and HSSLC Routine
Nagaland Board conducts the examinations annually in the month of February- March.
The candidates who study from the Nagaland Board get the timetable in the month of December. The link to the timetable uses to be available online on the official website. The timetable contains all the necessary information related to the board exams. Nagaland HSLC (class 10th) and HSSLC (class 12th) routine releases in the pdf format. The routine consists of the dates of the examination, examination timings, and further information.
Nagaland Board Class 10 and 12 Admit Card
For the students of secondary and senior secondary, the NBSE Board releases the admit card in the month of February. Candidates obtain the admit card online on the official website. The students can also collect the NBSE Admit Card from their respective schools.
The admit card contains all the important details related to the exams as well as related to the students. Students are required to carry a physical copy of admit card to the examination hall. Without admit cards students will not be allowed to write exams.
Nagaland Board Class 10 and 12 Result
After the completion of the exams, the Nagaland board declares the result for both classes. For class 10 board exams, the NBSE board announces the result in the month of June. For class 12, the board declares the result separately for different streams. It releases the result for Science and Commerce combined while for Arts, the separate result uses to be announced. To check the result, the candidates need to submit the roll number.
Nagaland Board Supplementary Exams
The candidates who will not get the passing marks will be able to appear for the supplementary exams. The board provides a second opportunity for the students to pass the exams. NBSE conducts the supplementary exams in the month of August and September.
