The main state board of Goa is the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education. It is abbreviated as GBSHSE. The board came into existence on May 27, 1975. GBSHSE was established under the Goa, Daman, and Diu Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board Act, 1975.  Various private and government schools of Goa are affiliated with this board.

Goa Board conducts the exams for class 10 in March and October while for class 12, the exams use to be held in March, June, and October.

The aim of the board is to provide quality education to the candidates of Goa. The board is working towards the recognition of the schools in the territory. It focuses on the improvement of education at the secondary and higher secondary level. GBSHSE tries to provide adequate facilities to the students in terms of education and the professional advancement of society.

The Goa board has the responsibility of granting recognition to the various schools of the state. It notifies the requirement of the schools, staff, equipment, stationery, etc. GBSHSE prescribes the curriculum and syllabus to the affiliated schools. It also provides textbooks for secondary and senior secondary level candidates.

Goa Board Class 10 and 12 Time Table

The Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education issues its timetable for classes 10 and 12 in the month of December.  The link to the timetable uses to be available online on the official website. The timetable contains all the necessary information related to the board exams. The candidates of the SSC standard give the exam in the month of February and March while for the Intermediate candidates, the board conducts the exams in the month of March and April.  The vocational timetable uses to get released a bit earlier than the regular date sheet. 

The Goa Board timetable contains all the necessary information regarding the examinations. It has information such as the exam date, timings for the exams, the name of the subjects, subject code, and some other important information.

Goa Board Class 10 and 12 Admit Card

For the students of secondary and senior secondary, the Goa Board releases the admit card in the month of February. Candidates obtain the admit card online on the official website. To get it from the official website, the candidates need to use their roll number. The students can also collect the Goa Board Admit Card from their respective schools.

It contains the name of the board, class name, students’ name, roll number of the candidates, date of birth, parent’s name, the date for the exams, exam day, exam timings, exam centre, reporting time, subject details etc. The admit card contains all the important details related to the exams as well as related to the students. Students are required to carry a physical copy of admit card to the examination hall. Without the admit card students will not be allowed to write exams.

Goa Board Class 10 and 12 Result

After the completion of the exams, the Goa board declares the result for both classes. For the class 10 board exams, the board announces the result in the month of June. For class 12, the board declares the result separately for different streams. It releases the result for Science and Commerce combined while for Arts, the separate result uses to be announced. To check the result, the candidates need to submit the roll number.

Goa Board Supplementary Exams

The candidates who will not get passing marks will be able to appear for the supplementary exams. The board provides a second opportunity for the students to pass the exams. The Goa Board conducts the supplementary exams in the month of August and September.
