The Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE) is the state education board in Chhattisgarh, India. Functioning as the state agency of the Government of Chhattisgarh, it is tasked with the promotion and development of secondary education in the region. The Board has been conducting its exams independently since the year 2002, overseeing examinations for High School, Higher Secondary, and Diploma Courses. Following the establishment of the state of Chhattisgarh on November 1, 2000, the School Education Department of the Chhattisgarh government was upgraded to the Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education on September 20, 2001.
