Activities :

The Faculty of Management Studies (FMS) has been established by the Janardan Rai Nagar Rajasthan Vidyapeeth (Deemed) University as a constituent Management department to run two years full time MBA.

Programme from the academic year 1996 at its Pratap Nagar Nagar Campus, Udaipur. It has constituted an Academic Rajasthan Vidyapeeth (Deemed) University as a Advisory Board (AAB-FMS). The members of AAB govern and advice on all the academic activities at FMS.

Infrastructure :

The Campus :
The University has earmarked a separate area for Faculty of Management Studies at its Pratap Nagar campus. The total build up area of the Faculty premises is 2146 sq.mtrs. which includes four class rooms, three tutorial halls, one girls common room, one store room, eight faculty chambers, two office rooms, one director's chamber, one placement room, Seminar Hall, one library hall and one computer lab for the use of the students, faculty and staff members. The Faculty provides a refreshing environment for learning, encouraging the students to exploit their potential.

The Computer Lab :
The Faculty has set up a well equipped computer lab with an intake capacity of 75 computers at a time. Blending knowledge with technology is our mantra. Our students are provided with the best of IT facilities. The computer lab is a gateway to a world of applications and information sources that are on the leading edge of management practice and thought. All the computers are P-III and P-IV with appropriate accessories and licensed software and laser printers.

The Seminar Hall :
FMS has introduced extension lecture series to acquire the practical exposure from reputed academicians and executives from industry. In this era of the latest gadgets, our infrastructure has been catering to our students with the contemporary equipments during various academic happenings. The seminar hall equipped with latest technologies has a capacity to accommodate about 300 participants and is especially utilized for seminars, extension lectures and students project presentations.

Library and Reading Room :
FMS has a rich library and reading room with exhaustive number of books and Journals, both national and International management and related subjects. The FMS library is working from morning 10.00 hrs to evening 17.00 hrs for the use of students, Faculty and outsiders. The total area of the library is about 350 sq. mtrs. At present the library has a wide range of text books, reference books, journals and case study material available for the use of FMS students and faculty members. The University has provided sufficient grant during 10th Plan to add large number of required Management books as per requirement. FMS Library is also connected to UGC infoline where around 14,500 on-line Journals are available. In addition to above some of the latest and important titles has been kept at 'NOT TO BE ISSUED' section. At least one copy of the important books has been kept in this section so that any reader can use these titles.

Internet Connectivity :
The University has set up a V-SAT system under UGC 10th Plan scheme. The V-SAT connection has been installed with the help of earnet Banglore. The University also has setup of 10 Mbps dedicated lease line. The Department of Computer Science and Information Technology has provided all support for the installation of V-SAT System at their premises. The internet facility is also enhanced by additional Broadband connectivity with 256 Kbps and has been provided for the academic use of the students and faculty members.
