Ramgarhia Institute of Engineering and Technology, more often called RIET, is one of the prominent institutes in northern part of India. The college is located in Phagwara, in the heart of the Doeba region of Punjab. All Indian Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and Government of Punjab have given their approval to RIET, to conduct technical courses at various disciplines. In the present time, the institute offers undergraduate course in five branches of engineering as well as Masters' degree in Business Administration (MBA). Ramgarhia Institute of Engineering & Technology is a self-financed private institute, managed by Ramgarhia Educational Council (REC). A dozen of schools and colleges have been managed by REC, which is in the field of higher education since 1929. Almost all the educational institutions managed by REC have made their presence felt in India, and Ramgarhia Institute of Engineering & Technology is no exception.

Ramgarhia Institute of Engineering and Technology (RIET), Phagwara is located in the heart of Doaba region of Punjab, on the main Railway line. The Institute is situated at a distance of about 1 Km. both from the Railway Station and Bus Stand. It spreads in sprawling 30 acres of lush green environment.The town boasts of a substantial number of NRI families and it is a major industrial township of industries such as Oil Engine, Motor Parts, Lathe Chucks, Textiles, Starch and Sugar Mills, etc.Ramgarhia Institute of Engineering & Technology (RIET), Phagwara, a self-financed and privately managed Institute, is affiliated to Punjab Technical University, approved by State Govt. and AICTE, New Delhi.
