      It was indeed a luminous and shining landmark when the School of Management Studies (SMS), a Department of the University, was established in the year 1969. The main objective of the MBA programmes in SMS is to equip the students with requisite knowledge and skills to meet the challenges of the new order. Our emphasis is to develop professional managers for the corporate sector, who will fasten the nation towards a more prosperous, just and humane society.

      Available College Facilities & Amenities

      List of facilities available at School of Management Studies SMS, Punjabi University, Patiala for students.

      All the classrooms of the college are well furnished with all modern facilities.
      The school boasts of a robust library of its own apart from the Bhai Kahn Singh library, the main university library.
      The school library has a collection of almost 20,000 books related to all areas of Business Management. These books are available to the students for consultation, and are also issued to them for the whole semester.
      The library also has a collection of almost 2500 journals. The library subscribes to five journals and many more are received from other universities/institutes on reciprocal basis. Eight daily news papers are also subscribed by the library.
      Apart from books, journals and news papers, the library also has a collection of around 200 PhD theses.
      Sports facilities are available in the campus. Annual Sports event is held in the month of December in every year
      Good transportation facilities for its students, staff members and visiting guests.
      Proper healthcare arrangements are done by college. Proper Medical Facilities are available
      24-hours internet access for all. Wi-Fi for all
      School of Management Studies has a state of the art air conditioned computer lab. The lab has 60 latest desktops. The lab is also equipped with printers and scanners. All IT/ Computer related classes are held in the lab for giving practical training to the students.
      The school has a spacious amphitheater located within its premises. Many co-curricular activities like quizzes, competitions, plays etc. are held here.
