Welcome to the official website of Government College Zira. Associated With Panjab University Chandigarh, our college was inaugurated by Honorable Dr. D.C. Patve on 31 July 1971. Existence of our college was blessed by a great personality Lala Jiwan Mal Aggarwal, who donated 32 Acres of land for setting up of our college.

In order to perfect all the aspects of life in today’s world, and to develop a sound character, one needs torch of knowledge so as to clear off the darkness of illiteracy and to reach at new heights of life. No institution can build good reputation by its infrastructure, however, its the students of an institution that can make it proud by hard work and success. Government College Zira clearly meets all the aspects requirements of making your career a success as dreamt by your respectful parents. Spread in 32 acres of natural land area, the college resides in the heart of nature, and its campus is very beautiful. Education on B.A. regular is delivered in this college. College campus includes library, seminar hall, canteen, common room for girls and a play ground. A total of nine subjects are taught in the college. Computer science is also included as a special subject. Our college has given I.A.S, P.C.S and many other pearls and diamonds to the society who have made us and our country proud.

Apart from educational activities, students of our college also participate in co-curricular activities as well. so I would urge to all the students to join us, work hard under the esteemed guidance of our teachers and reach to raging heights in your lives and careers.
