Baba Kundan Singh College BKS Muhar was founded in 2006 by Dr Surjit Singh Sidhu. The college is affiliated to the Panjab University Chandigarh College Code 199. The campus is built on a 15 acre site. It was named after the famous Saint Kundan Singh and is located in Muhar, Firozepur. Dr Surjit Singh Sidhu, the prinicipal, has dedicated himself to helping the college excel in sports, theatrical arts and folk dance. BKS College Muhar has achieved numerous accolades on a state and national level. The college continues to strive in academic and extra curricular activities and is supported by the local community and an extremely strong alumni that have graduated from this prestigious institution and yet remain part of the BKS family.
The college campus is state of the art and is fully equipped with up to date lecture areas, 50 classrooms, IT labs, a comprehensive library, gymnasium, sports stadium, swimming pool, guest home facilities and even hosts its own music recording studio.
BKS College has a strong tradition in folk dance and are proud to announce that for another successive year we have gained 1st prize in the Zonal Youth and heritage Festival of 2016.
