Located in Arjan Dass College is one of the old and famous Higher Educational Institute of the Dharamkot, Moga. Arjan Dass college was established in the memory of renowned Zamindar late Sh. Arjan Dass Nohria in 1971. He was high thinking and bright minded person who knows the value of Education very well in life. He started this institution with his late brothers Sh. Prabh Dayal Nohria and Sh. Bhagat Ram Nohria as Sanskrit School in 1906. It was upgraded as Higher Secondary School in 1961. It being the only institution in this backward area. This school served the Dharamkot and the surrounding villages for many decades., Arjan Dass college come into existence as a girls college in 1971. The college fullfilled the long cherished desire of the area as the girls students have to go far and wide to get higher education. Many girls could not receive a higher education due to financial and other reasons., Panjab University approved this college as a co-educational institution in 1973. The college comes under U.G.C section 2 f and 12 B., A.D college has become the prominent institution of the area. The college had won many rewards in the field of education, games and arts. It is the first and only institution of higher education of the area. The students of this college has earned name and fame in many foreign countries. Many students are working on higher posts in various Govt and non Govt offices., VISION, Arjan Dass College aspires to have a transformational impact on students through comprehensive education by inculcating qualities of competence, confidence, introspection and self discipline. Arjan Dass College intends to develop new generations of leaders who can create an impact in business, governance and society at large.
