Located in RIT was established in the year 2000 by the Regency Educational Society, an agency sponsored by the successfull Regency Group of Industries with the objective of promoting Technical Education by providing in-house practical training in an internationaly sprawling ceramic complex in Yanam itself and to extend all fcilities for the steady growth of the students, bothe professionally and personally and to mould them into responsible citizens capable of taking up the global challenges. RIT is affiliated to Pondicherry University, which is a Central University. Today RIT offers B.Tech. programme in six major disciplines and post graduate programme for MBA and MCA with an annual intake of 555. The college is spread over an area of 61.92 acres close to the confluence of River Godavari with Bay of Bengal, which provides an excellent panoramic view. It is well connected with other town by road. The train facility is just about 28 km away from the college. The nearest Airport is Visakhapatnam at a distance of about 200 km., RIT has been encouraging meri by providing free education to the toppers at the higher secondary level, from all the 23 districts of Andhra Pradesh and also of the four parts of the Union Teritory of Pondicherry, viz. Pondicherry, Karaikal, Mahe and Yanam. RIT encourages National integration and cultural interaction among the students from all over India by offering free seats to the students from the North-Eastern States of India, i.e. Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim and Gorkhaland of West Bengal. thus, RIT has a mix of students from various geographical locations and backgrounds. The management of the Institute has been providing scholarships to the merit students and the group of Industries, which sponsored this Institute, has been providing the in-house training and necessary exposure to practical aspects of the Industry., For an all round growth of personality, RIT is conducting programmes to improve their communication skills and personality development of the students. Various programmes have been initiated for improving the communication skills. Student seminars are conducted. Participation of students and faculty in the seminars, conferences and workshops is encouraged. Speial classes are organized on personality development for the all round development of the student community.RIT is focusing on the individual students to provide customized counselling and learning experience, so that they grow professionally and personally.
