The Doctor of Philosophy in Veterinary Science (Ph.D.Veterinary Science) is a three years Doctorate in Animal Science academic Degree course in India.The specialized veterinary science study is designed to covers the areas and topics of identification and manipulation of genes and their products, stressing application in domesticated animals.The study deals with all types of Animals. Veterinary Science is a specific term deals with the Medicines, Diagnostic and Therapeutic Principles to various type of animal.

The course is suitable for those candidates wants to increase their knowledge for accelerating their career by exploring and acquire a critical understanding of Veterinary Science.The course is designed to provide in-depth knowledge and information about domesticated animals.

The study is focused on theoretical and practical aspects of Principles and Techniques in an academic discipline offered in various subjects of specialization such as Livestock Production Management, Livestock Products Technology, Animal Reproduction and Gynecology, Veterinary Public Health, Animal Genetics and Breeding, Veterinary Pharmacology, Veterinary Pathology, Animal Husbandry Extension, Animal Nutrition, Veterinary Biochemistry, Poultry Science, Veterinary Medicine, Veterinary Biotechnology, Veterinary Surgery, Veterinary Microbiology, Veterinary Anatomy and Veterinary Parasitology.

The Veterinary Education program is implemented and monitored by Veterinary Council of India (VCI), It’s a statutory body established under the Ministry of Agriculture of the Government of India. The study improves the knowledge, mental ability and an aptitude to think logically techniques.The study is focused on theoretical and practical aspects of specialized medical subjects Like Veterinary Anatomy, Veterinary Physiology and Biochemistry, Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology, Veterinary Microbiology, Veterinary Public Health & Epidemiology, Animal Nutrition, Animal Genetics and Breeding, Livestock Production Management, Livestock Products Technology, Veterinary Gynaecology & obstetrics, Veterinary Surgery and Radiology, Veterinary Medicines, Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Extension Education.

Eligibility

The candidate has to complete Master’s Degree like Master of Veterinary Science (MVSc.Veterinary Science), or any other Master’s Degree with relevant subjects, or equivalent examination, with minimum aggregate 55% marks, such candidates are eligible to take admission in Doctor of Philosophy in Veterinary Science professional study program.

Course Duration / Learning Mode

The medical study requires 3 to 4 years of the time period with an internship in India, It’s a Full Time professional degree course. The course is not available for part-time and under distance education mode as it's a practical based study.
