Department of Civil Engineering

Department of Civil Engineering was established in the year 1989 with B.E. degree programme in Civil Engineering. With the enormous development in academic scenario and for fulfilling industrial requirements, at present, it offers B.Tech. in Civil Engineering, M.Tech. in Construction Engineering & Management, M.Tech. in Structural Engineering and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) programme in various civil engineering disciplines.

Facilities :

The department has spacious laboratories with the state-of-the-art machineries and equipments including 100kN capacity Digital UTM, Non-Destructive Testing Facility, Total Survey Station, GIS / GPS & Remote Sensing technique, Turbines, Electronic Shear Testing Machines, Static Cone Penetrometer, Pipe Testing, Spectrophotometer.

Research and Development :

Extensive laboratory facilities are available to promote innovative researches in various civil engineering disciplines. Department has a wealth of experts/supervisors to guide research scholars both full-time and part-time. Civil engineering faculties and students are encouraged to keenly participate in a wide range of co-curricular activities: seminars, conferences, workshops, both nationally and internationally, to enhance their knowledge and bring through quality research in emerging areas.
