College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Berhampur, Mohuda is the premier pharmacy institution established in the year 1979 with D.Pharm and B.Pharm courses with an aim to generate technical manpower in the field of Pharmacy to handle the professional activities of dispensing of drugs by registered persons to meet the statutory requirements of section 42 of Pharmacy Act, 1948,  in this state in particular and in the country in general besides aiming to cater the growing needs of health services, to serve the pharmaceutical industry in excellent manner, drug control administration, and to update the pharmacy profession in Education and Research and other allied arenas to meet the clarion call of health for all In the academic session 2000-01 , M.Pharm courses in Pharmaceutics & Pharmaceutical Chemistry and in 2004-05 M.Pharm course in Pharmaceutical Analysis & Quality Assurance is introduced.

The contribution of Ganjam and Phulbani Chemists and Druggists Association in developing this institutions remarkable. GPCDA is a registered under society act XXI of 1860 vide Regn. No. 9822/147 of 9976-77, Orissa, which runs the college through a duly constituted Governing Body as per AICTE guidelines. Presently this institute is located in a panoramic, greenery and picturesque site with natural academic friendly environment at Mohuda, in very spacious land of 23 acres, which is around 7 kms from Berhampur town.
