Current Academic Sessions (Trimester II & III)
For regular students in the 5-Year BA LLB (Hons), 3-Year LLB (Hons), and LLM programs, Trimester II (2025-26) classes are concluding in late January. The End-Term Examinations for this trimester are scheduled from January 22 to January 29, 2026. Following a brief break, Trimester III classes are slated to commence on March 2, 2026. Students must strictly adhere to the 75% attendance rule to be eligible for the end-term hall tickets, which are issued through the NLS Student Portal.
2026 Entrance Examination Timetable (NLSAT & CLAT)
Admission to NLSIU is governed by two major entrance cycles. The university-conducted NLSAT 2026 (for 3-year LLB, MPP, and PhD) is scheduled for April 26, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM. Meanwhile, the CLAT 2026 counseling rounds for 5-year BA LLB and LLM programs are currently active, with the 3rd Merit List expected on February 5, 2026. The new academic session for 2026-27 is officially set to begin on July 1, 2026.
