Master of Technology in Manufacturing Technology (M.Tech.Manufacturing Technology), is a two years Postgraduate Manufacturing Engineering degree course in India. The study is concerned with the analysis of advanced engineering program using modeling techniques, computer implementation, experimental verification and case study investigation.
The aim of the master’s engineering study program is too focused on the process of design, development and implementation of products, manufacturing and control system related developmental planning and implementation of industrial production, advanced manufacturing technologies enhance the productivity and competitive advantage in the global market.
The Manufacturing study develops the skills and quality of engineering and management in candidates such as Process Modelling, Simulation, Production Modelling and Monitoring, Production Planning and Control, Intelligent Manufacturing, engineering Optimization and in Product Development and Modelling, etc.
The course is suitable for those candidates wants to increase their knowledge for accelerating their career by exploring and acquire a critical understanding of Manufacturing Technology.The course is designed to provide in-depth knowledge and information about the Technology and Management, The study is focused on theoretical and practical aspects and Principles Techniques in an academic discipline such as Numerical Methods & Computer Programming, Simulation, Modelling & Analysis, Applied Operation Research, Optimization for Engineering Design, Computer Aided Manufacturing, Production Technology, Advance Machining Process, Dissertation.
The candidate has to complete Bachelor’s Degree like Bachelor of Engineering (BE), Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) or any other Bachelor’s Degree with relevant subjects, or equivalent examination, with minimum aggregate 60% marks, such candidates are eligible to take admission in Master of Technology in Manufacturing Technology Studies program.
In India, it is mandatory to give entrance exams like Common Admission Test (CAT), some institute take the personal interview and asked few questions on General Knowledge, Personality, Intelligence Assessment and English Language.
The master’s study requires 2 years of the time period with an internship in India, It’s a Full Time professional degree course. The course is not available for part-time and under distance education mode as it's a practical based study.
After the successful completion of the Master’s study program, one can have excellent career opportunities in the Public and Private Sectors. The Master degree holder recognized as Manufacturing Engineer / Engineer and able to work as Research & Development Engineer, Production Engineer, Engineering Manager, System Engineer, Consultant (Strategy & operation), Executive Officer (Production & Management), Business System Analyst, Production Development Representative, etc.
